Weekly Wrap Up – Week 4, Term 3

Year 9 Strive9 Pitch Offs: Our Strive9 finalists stepped up this week to present their ideas in the highly anticipated Pitch Offs, competing for the winning prize. It was wonderful to see students showcase their creativity, confidence and entrepreneurial thinking as they brought their ideas to life.

2026 Dance Showcase: On Monday evening, we celebrated the incredible talent and creativity of our dancers at the 2026 Dance Showcase, held for the first time in our new Djinda Theatre. Students from our Dance classes and co-curricular Dance program filled the stage with passion and energy, making it a memorable celebration of Dance at Santa Maria.

Languages Day: Languages Day brought culture and learning to life as students celebrated the many opportunities that come from learning another language. From musical performances to food tasting, students enthusiastically embraced French and Italian language and culture while broadening their appreciation of the world around them.

Purple Bra Day: Led by our Year 12 student leaders, Purple Bra Day brought the College community together in support of Breast Cancer Care WA and the vital assistance it provides to people and families. Students embraced the day through a purple-themed bake sale, fashion parade, sausage sizzle and the much-anticipated staff versus student BRAsketball game, with staff claiming a 24–12 victory.
