Santa4Santa Day

Santa4Santa Day at Santa Maria College is an event that marks the launch of our Winter Appeal.  Thank you to everyone involved in making this day a success.  We asked Tehya Conroy, Service Captain, a few questions about the day.

Who is involved in the organisation of Santa4Santa Day?

Santa4Santa Day comes together through the work of the leaders of the Santa Maria College service groups. The girls work together to organise and run the stalls on the day. The whole school supports these stalls through their donations and also purchases on the day. Girls dress up in Christmas costumes to make the Mercy Walk a fun and joyful location.

What activities and food were on offer?

There were a variety of games and activities, such as snowman toss, raffles, spin for Santa and students had the opportunity to share their artistic flair by joining in the painting of a mural in the gym, an initiative of the Yarn group.  The Eco Sisters were selling sustainability products, and there was a feast of food items on offer including a lolly buffet, potato gems, ice-cream, pizza and hot chips. We also had a special appearance by Santa!

Who are we supporting with the funds raised?

The funds raised from Santa4Santa Day along with bags of food and toiletries students have donated, will be presented to St Vincent de Paul, the Shopfront and St Patrick’s at our Christmas Mass and Assembly on Friday 6 December 2019.
