Santa4Santa Day: Giving with Generous Hearts

As Christmas approaches, it’s a chance for us to pause amid the year’s chaos. However, for many struggling families in our community, the holiday rush can be overwhelming, casting a shadow on the joy it’s meant to bring.

This Term, we’re urging both our staff and students to get behind the College’s annual Christmas Appeal. We’re collecting non-perishable food and toiletries for St Vincent de Paul, Shopfront, and St Patrick’s Community Centre in Fremantle. Students are encouraged to donate items worth $10.00 or bring a $10.00 cash donation to their homerooms.

One of the highlights is Santa4Santa Day, a Christmas event packed with joy and fun. It’s also an opportunity to raise much-needed funds for those less fortunate in our community who might not experience the same Christmas spirit. Santa4Santa Day is organised by the leaders of co-curricular service groups. Students work together to set up and manage various stalls on the day, with the entire school supporting these stalls through donations and purchases.

This year, our service groups sold fair trade chocolate, pizza, hot chips, ice cream sundaes, and hosted an epic bake sale! There were card games, lolly bags, and handcrafted items from Santa’s Workshop for sale as well.

The funds raised from Santa4Santa Day, along with our donations of food and toiletries, will be presented to representatives from the charity agencies at our upcoming Advent Mass on Friday, 1 December, our final day of Term 4.

For a list of items needed for our annual Christmas appeal, please see below. Financial donations are also accepted through our Finance Department at T: 6330 0234.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to staff, students, and families for their generous contributions to our 2023 Christmas appeal.
