Sarah Takes on New Role

We’d like to wish Claire Logan, Dillon House Coordinator, all the best as she leaves to go on maternity leave. Stepping into her role will be Sarah Ditchburn. We asked Sarah about her new role.
What is your current role at Santa Maria?
My current role at the College is a Health and Physical Education teacher and as of Monday, Dillon House Coordinator.
How long have you been at Santa Maria?
Some could say I have been at the College for 12 years, having been a boarding student from 2007 but my official role as a Health and Physical Education teacher commenced in 2017 making that three years as a member of staff.Â
What are you hoping to achieve as Dillon House Coordinator?Â
I am hoping to continue the great work that Claire has been doing with Dillon House in building a sense of belonging and pride for our House. I am hoping to make a positive impact on the girls and encourage them to get involved as much as possible and try new things in 2020.
What are you most excited about?
As Dillon House Coordinator I am most excited about supporting the girls in all events throughout the year. I am excited to build relationships with students I have not yet had the chance to teach during my time at the College. Interhouse Drama kicked off this week and the Dillon girls blew me away with their performance. I can’t wait for many more exciting events throughout 2020.
