Sisterhood Alumni Networking Series – An Evening with Cassie Silver (Class of 2006)

Santa Maria College is delighted to invite our alumni community to the first Sisterhood Alumni Networking Series event for 2026. An inspiring evening designed to bring our Santa Maria Sisterhood together through meaningful connection, shared stories, and professional insight.

This special series provides a welcoming space for alumni to strengthen relationships, expand networks, and learn from the experiences of remarkable women within our community.

Guest Speaker: Cassie Silver (Class of 2006)

We are thrilled to welcome Cassie Silver (Class of 2006) as the guest speaker for our first session of the year.

An award-winning television journalist, Cassie has excelled in the media industry over the past decade, working across television, print, radio and advertising. A recognised former journalist, producer and presenter for Channel Seven, she brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and industry insight.

Cassie holds a Bachelor of Communications (Double Major in Journalism and Broadcasting) and a Post-Graduate Diploma from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). She has worked with Seven West Media, Fairfax Media, and a range of digital and traditional advertising agencies across Perth. Now the company director of her own boutique content creation agency, Silver Lining & Co Pty Ltd.

A passionate writer and storyteller, Cassie’s work has been published across Australia and internationally, earning award recognition and contributing to the success of campaigns across a variety of industries. Her experience has also taken her overseas, writing scripts for two television documentaries broadcast on the Discovery Channel and the American Broadcast Company.

Beyond her professional work, Cassie is also the founder of social enterprise Fiercely Infertile, which was awarded the 40 Under 40 Business News Social Enterprise, Not-For-Profit or Community Award in 2024.

Coming Home – Alumni Celebrate the Cultural Centre

Santa Maria College alumni gathered to celebrate the opening of the College’s new Cultural Centre, reconnecting with classmates and celebrating the role of the arts in the community. The evening featured performances by current students and a 42-member Alumni Choir, highlighting the lifelong connections and shared experiences that continue to bring Old Girls back to the College.
