Smores and Solar Ovens
Year 7 Science students were challenged to research, design and create a solar oven capable of melting a chocolate smore (marshmallow sandwich) this week.
With a maximum of 41 degrees celsius at midday on Tuesday, it was the perfect time for the girls to put their designs to the test.
Congratulations to the winning group of Amelie Coffey, Jessica Lyra and Farah Redelinghuys, whose simple, yet considered design reached a whopping 101 degrees celsius – hot enough to boil water!
