Stars and Bras
In preparation for Purple Bra Day, the Student Leadership Council came up with the theme of ‘Stars and Bras’ for this year’s Purple Bra Day celebrations.
Purple Bra Day is a special day to celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones who have lost their battle and empower families and friends in this community to raise money for much-needed services provided by Breast Cancer Care WA.
In line with our theme, staff and students in our Santa community were given the opportunity to put forward the names of loved ones who have been impacted by breast cancer. Each name was hung from the ‘Stars and Bras’ display in the Great Court, accompanied by the many star-themed decorations. This extended our community’s awareness of the ‘Stars’ amongst us who have fought, or are bravely fighting, the battle of cancer.

Santa Maria Teams Shine in Term 1 Sports
Santa Maria had a huge number of girls in the IGSSA AFL and Volleyball competition with strong results for a number of teams.
