Students Have Sum Fun!
- April 23, 2021

The Have Sum Fun competition is conducted by the Mathematical Association of Western Australia and is endorsed by the Australian Association of Mathematics Teachers. It is an exciting mathematics initiative that uses a quiz-night format.

Teams of six students race against the clock to solve four intense rounds of eight challenging problems.Â
This year, Santa Maria entered teams from Years 11 & 12, Years 9-10, and Years 7-8 (two teams) and Years 5-6. Students competed at various high schools around the Perth metropolitan area.

The students thoroughly enjoyed using teamwork to solve challenging problems. They also had an opportunity to connect with other schools’ participants to share their ideas and excitement with!
Congratulations to everyone who took part.
