Students Preparing for the All Schools’ Cross Country Carnival

 In News Blog

On Friday, some of Santa Maria’s runners will compete in the All Schools’ Cross Country carnival at McGilvray Oval in Mount Claremont. The girls have been preparing for weeks leading up to the event, with dedicated cross country training held by our wonderful Physical Education staff, focussing on technique and pacing. The girls are very excited and ready to get racing!

We interviewed three of our athletes: Liliana Cottino (Year 9), Sienna Menin (Year 8) and Alice Wessels (Year 8), who shared some insight into why they love running, what their preparation has been like and what their number one ‘go to’ foods are that are the key to fuelling for race day.
