Students Selected for State Diving Team
- September 9, 2021

Congratulations to three of our students: Gabriella Silvester (Year 6), Isabella Galvao (Year 7), and Hannah Min Oo (Year 8), who have been selected in the School Sport WA Diving Team for 2021.
While there is no School Sport Australia National Championship this year due to COVID and travel restrictions, the team was selected in conjunction with Diving WA from state and school competitions held this year.
Gabriella has been diving for five years now. Her favourite thing about diving is all the new experiences, like travelling and learning new skills. “My favourite dive is a front twist to feet. It’s basically a front layout with a full twist. In the future, I want to be an Olympic diver for Australia so I can represent my country.”
Isabella has been diving for three years. She said, “My favourite thing about diving is that it keeps my mind off things, and it is fun. My favourite dive is a front two and a half off the 7m platform, I love the platform. Being selected for the state team is good. I’ve been to Brisbane, and due to COVID, I’ve done two virtual nationals for Melbourne and Tasmania.” About her future goals, Isabella says, “I hope to just do my best and never give up when it gets too hard.”
Hannah has also been diving for five years. When asked what her favourite dive is she said, “Doing twist in the air and handstands on the platform.” Hannah is proud to have been selected and hopes to continue competing in the future
