Students Shine At All Schools Cross Country

Cross Country events serve as a wonderful platform to foster unity and support among students while imparting valuable life skills such as perseverance, time management, and discipline. This was evident in the remarkable performances showcased by our students at the recent All Schools Cross Country event, held amidst the warm Autumn weather on Thursday. The event not only allowed students from different year groups to connect but also provided an opportunity for them to cheer each other on, reinforcing the sense of camaraderie within our College community.

The All Schools Cross Country competition welcomes entries from both Government and Non-Government schools, offering an inclusive opportunity for individual students whose schools may not formally participate. Moreover, it serves as a crucial pathway for selection into the SSWA Interstate Cross Country team, paving the way for participation in the School Sport Australia Cross Country Championships in Term 3.

The dedication, perseverance, and preparation of our students radiated through their exceptional performance, and we are thrilled to showcase their incredible efforts.

We are delighted to announce that our under-15 team won Champion School. In addition to this, Year 10 student Chloe claimed an impressive third place overall, securing automatic selection into the State team. Year 8 student Amelia and Year 10 students Sophie and Naomi all secured positions within the top 15 in their respective races. Their exceptional performances have earned them invitations to trial for the state team, and we are confident they will do a fantastic job.

We are incredibly proud of all the girls for their participation and remarkable achievements. They have represented the College and our values with pride whilst displaying amazing teamwork and sportsmanship.

Congratulations to all!
