Every six months, four GAP students arrive to work at Santa Maria College. Placed by Letz Live, the students undergo training in Brisbane before coming to begin their time with us.
A large group of boarders will participate in the HBF Run for a Reason this Sunday. The girls will wear orange in support of the Leukemia Foundation and in remembrance of former Head of Boarding, Linda Bulloch.
Year 12 student Ellie Lee, has been involved each year, since she started at Santa Maria. She recently had an article about her participation included in the Midwest Times.
Recently, Santa Maria College hosted a Year 12 Boarding Leaders’ dinner to promote camaraderie and networking. Over 90 leaders from 15 boarding colleges throughout Perth gathered in the Recreation Centre to appreciate the view of the Swan River, share drinks and cheese, and engage in conversation and networking with other leaders.
During Mercy Day, all of the boarding students wore an orange hair ribbon, which is the colour of the Leukaemia foundation. The girls processed into the McDonald Building together during Mass this morning as a mark of remembrance for Linda Bulloch, Head of Boarding, who passed away twelve months ago.
