In honour of Father’s Day on Sunday, we asked one of our fathers, Aidan Casey, to tell us a little about his experiences and philosophies around fatherhood.
Two amazing mums, Veronica O’Keefe and Marie Sadler give their time very generously, to be the driving force behind Santa Ministry which includes Santa Assist. Santa Assist helps College families in times of need.
Since 2013, Santa Maria dads (and some mums) and their daughters have enjoyed a special trip to school together at the annual Father-Daughter Walk to School.

The annual Mothers’ Retreat was an inspiring day, starting with a beautiful reflection, practising the pause and centering ourselves to start the day and prepare for the experience.
During July, the students at Santa Maria College have been working on projects to reduce the amount of plastic they use. One of the initiatives was to show them how to create their own beeswax wraps that can be useful for wrapping their lunch, cutlery or everyday items.
Last Friday night, Year 12 parents gathered in the Community Room for our final Parent Network sundowner – Bubbles with a View. With a glass of champagne on arrival, background music, delicious food, fabulous company and a dose of reminiscing about ‘where the years have gone for the Class of 2018’, the evening was a great success and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone
The Boarding Parents’ Dinner, held on Saturday night was a great success, with 70 of our boarding parents enjoying the evening here at the College.
As part of Plastic Free July, the College offered students the opportunity to make their own beeswax wraps. Due to interest from parents we are also offering a parent workshop. See this article for more information and how to book.
Today we celebrated Mother’s Day with a very special Mass for the Year 7 students and their mothers. The Mass was a way for the girls to spend some quiet reflective time with their mothers in prayer.
Today over 250 dads joined our girls for the Father Daughter Walk to School and Breakfast. This initiative of the Men of Santa (or MOZZIES as they are fondly known), was a great way for dads to enjoy time with their daughters, and to also meet other dads in the College community.
Jordan Foster is the founder of ySafe, a company of social media and cyber safety experts. She spoke with parents and  students in Years 5 to 8 earlier this week.
The Year 7 parents, students and their siblings had a great night on Friday with over 120 people attending Pizza By The Swan at Point Walter.
On Friday night, Year 11 Parents enjoyed ‘Bubbles on the Balcony’ at their final social gathering before the their girls start Year 12.
On Monday, over 60 Santa Maria and Aquinas mums attended the annual Mothers’ Retreat. The day started with Mass in the Santa Maria Chapel with Father Rodrigo.
