Weekly Wrap Up – Term 3, Weeks 1 & 2

Santa Maria College’s Term Three activities gave students opportunities to extend their learning through history, culture, STEM, reflection and practical skill development. Experiences included visits to Fremantle heritage sites, NAIDOC Week activities, career networking, first aid training and the opening of the College’s new Cultural Centre. These activities encouraged curiosity, empathy, responsibility and community connection.

Building Confidence at the National Science & Engineering Challenge

Santa Maria College Year 10 students recently competed in the National Science & Engineering Challenge, a national STEM outreach program hosted by the University of Newcastle. Students took part in hands-on engineering and science activities that encouraged teamwork, critical thinking and problem-solving. The experience gave students the opportunity to work with university staff and industry professionals while exploring future STEM pathways.
