Year 12 Alfresco Area: Official Opening

Our Year 11.5 students are well into starting their Year 12 courses this term and are now the official leaders of the College. The girls were excited today when they were officially handed over the Year 12 Alfresco Area during a ceremony, which included the cutting of a ribbon by Principal Jen Oaten and Head Girl Emma Robinson, to officially open the area to the girls.

Farewell to Year 12 Boarders

Several traditional events were held last Sunday to acknowledge the contributions of our current Year 12 group. It was a fitting celebration of their time in Boarding.  Many memories were shared, and the girls enjoyed the significance of the occasion.

‘Meraki’ – Year 12 Grad Show

Last Friday night, we celebrated the soul, creativity and love shown by the graduating class of 2018 in their artwork, with displays from Year 12 ATAR Visual Art, General Visual Arts and General Design students.

Life After Santa

Transition is all about change. Making the change from high school to university or the workplace is a crucial step that our Year 12 students are about to embark on. Figuring out how to make this transition smooth and successful was one of the aims of Life Beyond Santa.

The Year 12 Retreat Journey

The Year 12 Retreat, held at Swan Valley Adventure Camp over three days, allows students the space to embark on an interior journey towards holiness through the integration of self.

Mother Daughter Breakfast

On Sunday 10 June, the Fremantle Sailing Club was filled with Year 12 students and their mothers for the traditional Mother Daughter Breakfast. This event follows on from the Year 11 Father Daughter Dinner. It was a lovely morning for the girls to celebrate the importance of mothers and other special women in the lives of our Year 12 students.

Students Walk the Bibbulmun

Last Friday, the Year 12 Outdoor Education class completed a section of the Bibbulmun Track as part of their Bushwalking Expedition. The expedition was modified from an overnight exercise to one day, due to the weather forecast. They were extremely lucky and enjoyed perfect hiking conditions on the Friday.

Halfway There!

Today we threw a surprise ‘Halfway Day’ celebration for our Year 12 students, to make the halfway point of their final year of schooling. Following a busy few weeks of exams and work placements, it was lovely for students to stop and come together as a year group

Year 12 Art Students Show Off their Talent

Last Friday night, our Year 12 Visual Art & Design students held their Grad Show ‘Sauvage’. The Mercy Gallery was transformed into a beautiful natural setting with the inclusion of a ‘living wall’ to add to the ambiance of the night.

Year 12 Retreat

The Year 12 Retreat concluded today. It is one of the most memorable events for students as they transition towards graduation.
