That’s a Wrap: JIGSSA Swimming 2021
- March 24, 2021

The Years 5 and 6 JIGSSA Swimming carnivals were held last Thursday at the Santa Maria College and St Hilda’s pools. The girls were involved in a number of competitive and novelty events and enjoyed the opportunity to represent their school in an interschool setting. These carnivals are participation carnivals allowing an opportunity for all students to swim.

Last night wrapped up the final JIGSSA Swimming event for 2021, with the JIGSSA Twilight Swimming carnival at HBF stadium.
Twenty-one, Years 5 and 6 students represented the College. Many were swimming a race in the 50m pool for the first time!

All swimmers are to be congratulated for their enthusiasm and determination to race the very best they could on the night, we are very proud of the team. The Year 5 team finished 8th and the Year 6 team finished 4th overall.
