The 2026 Year 6 Camp
By the time the movie night started, the girls had already climbed, balanced, aimed, raced and laughed their way through more than one challenge.
This year, our Year 6 students headed off to Cahoots Adventure Camp in Bullsbrook in two groups, with Group 1 attending from Monday to Wednesday and Group 2 from Wednesday to Friday. Across the week, the girls threw themselves into camp life and made the most of every minute.
Camp Activities
There was no shortage of activity at camp.
Across both groups, the girls took part in:
- archery
- low ropes
- spy games
- high ropes
- rock wall
- laser tag
- indoor movie night
- free time to relax, chat and enjoy being together
Some activities asked the girls to be brave. Some asked them to work together. Some simply gave them the chance to run around, laugh hard and have fun with their classmates. That mix is part of what makes Year 6 camp enjoyable.
The teachers got involved too, which only added to the fun. On the high ropes, staff were right there alongside the girls, taking on the course themselves and showing that a bit of courage is needed at every age. It was a lovely reminder that camp is not only about encouraging the girls from the sidelines. Sometimes it is about stepping up and giving it a go with them.
Laser tag brought out that same energy. Teachers joined in, and suddenly the competition lifted. There is something very entertaining about seeing students and staff face off in a game where everyone is equally determined to win. The girls loved it.

Competition on The Rock Wall
One of the standout moments was the rock climbing challenge, when the girls took on the teachers to see who could make it to the top the fastest.
It was the sort of contest that camp does so well. It was full of cheering, laughter and just enough competition to make everyone even more determined. The girls were completely up for it, and the teachers were good sports, stepping into the challenge and adding to the fun of the day.
Student Reflections
When the girls were asked about a highlight from camp, a challenge they faced, and how they overcame it, their answers captured exactly what made the week so memorable.
When asked what a highlight was Isabella said “My camp highlight was at night when we got to play the spy games and watch the movie but also just sitting by a real fire with natural logs. I liked this because it is fun when it is dark also, I have never been near a real fire.”
A challenege that Isabella overcame was, “I overcame the challenge of meeting new friends like at the dinner table when we had to sit next to other people and not just our friends. It felt nice to do this.”
Celina’s highlight was, “The animals because I named them. My favourite animals were the sheep, horses and dogs.”
The Memories
As the girls returned from camp, they brought back more than just tired feet and muddy shoes. They brought back new memories, shared jokes and stories from a week that asked them to be brave, have fun and enjoy every moment. From taking on the teachers in laser tag and rock climbing to encouraging each other on the high ropes, Year 6 camp was a chance to step outside the usual school day and make the most of being together.
