The Face of Art

Students dressed up as famous artists greeted students as they converged on the Mercy Gallery this week for Art Day!

This year the theme was ‘The Face of Art’, featuring the most famous face of art, the Mona Lisa. The Year 12 Art & Design students enjoyed dressing up for the day. There were some art fairies floating around, Banksy and Vincent Van Gogh made an appearance as well as some famous Roy Lichtenstein paintings. During recess and lunchtime, students enjoyed drawing on the large Face of Art wall in the gallery and were invited to draw the smile on the Mona Lisa. Competition entries are being judged today by our Arts Captain, Dilini. Stay tuned as the winners will be announced next week.
