When did you start at Santa Maria?
“I have been at the College since 2004 when I started as a volunteer in the canteen. In 2005 I was employed in a part-time position in the Administration Department before being offered the position in Student Services in 2006.”

What is the best part of your job?
“That is an easy one to answer, it’s the girls! The students here are so lovely, and they have brightened my day several times with a smile or a kind word. I enjoy hearing the laughter at recess and lunch breaks. They are generally grateful for any assistance given and show this in different ways, that’s really special to me.”

What challenges are there in your job?
“One of the challenges would have to be keeping everyone happy and putting on a smiling face on the occasions when you don’t feel like it.”

What did you do before coming to Santa Maria?
“I was a stay at home mum. I have 3 children.”

What are your hobbies?
“I love going for walks and walk approximately 10 kilometres most days. My other hobbies are gardening and cooking.”

What do you do outside of work to unwind?
“I love to take my two dogs for walks, catch up with friends and spend lots of quality time with my daughter.”
