Weekly Wrap Up – Term 1, Week 4

This week was vibrant with outstanding house spirit and unique learning opportunities!

Weekly Wrap Up Items:

Years 7–12 Interhouse Swimming Carnival: The week began in a hit at the High Performance Centre, where students from Years 7–12 competed at the Swimming Carnival with outstanding House spirit. Stay tuned for the final results!                 

Junior AFL Victory: Congratulations to our Junior AFL team on their impressive 84–0 win against MLC on Tuesday. Their skill and teamwork made us proud and we hope to see them all the way to finals.

Ash Wednesday Liturgy: As a College, we gathered to mark Ash Wednesday, with students and staff gathering for liturgies and receiving the Ashes from our Year 12 Extraordinary Ministers. It was a meaningful way to begin the season of Lent together.

Curtin University Scanning Electron Microscope Experience: Our students were privileged to access Curtin University’s Scanning Electron Microscope, gaining hands-on exposure to advanced scientific technology. This invaluable experience deepened their understanding of scientific inquiry and sparked curiosity about future pathways in STEM.

Artist in Residence Program: We farewelled our Artist in Residence Ian Daniell, after two weeks of exploring all things to do with oceans, art and creative expressions. Between classes, Ian has been working on paintings and enjoying conversations with the students on their own ocean adventures! Thanks to the students, Ian now has a long list of ocean creatures to paint next.

Interhouse Volleyball: Our Years 9 – 12 spent their recess and PCT sessions out on the oval with houses versing eachother in games of volleyball!
