Weekly Wrap Up – Term 1, Week 5
Weekly Wrap Up Items:
Senior Drama Production: Our Years 11 and 12 Drama students took to the stage for their much anticipated Senior Production, with opening night on Monday setting the tone for a remarkable run. Their dedication over the past four weeks was evident in every scene, showcasing not only their talent but their commitment to excellence. We congratulate the cast and crew on a incredible performance.Â
Year 8 IGNITE – Light Morse Code Lesson: In IGNITE this week, our Year 8 students explored the fascinating world of communication through a hands-on light Morse code lesson. Blending creativity, problem-solving and collaboration, students experimented with transmitting messages using light signals.
Reds Volleyball Association Workshops: Students had the incredible opportunity to train with a four-time Olympian alongside Reds Volleyball coaches in a series of high-energy workshops. The sessions focused on skill development, teamwork and mindset, inspiring our athletes to strive for their personal best. Learning from elite sports professionals was both motivating and memorable.
Cookups: Our much-loved Cookups co-curricular program recommenced this week, with students preparing meals for those in need. Through this initiative, students not only develop practical culinary skills but also live out our College commitment to service and social justice. It is heartening to see such compassion expressed through action.
IGSSA Sport: Congratulations to our Years 7 and 8 teams on an outstanding round of IGSSA wins. The Volleyball team secured a strong win against MLC, while our AFL team celebrated a fantastic victory over St Hilda’s on Wednesday.Â
As we reflect on the week, we are reminded of the many ways our students shine. On stage, in the classroom, on the court and in service to others.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back after the midterm break on Tuesday!
