Weekly Wrap Up – Week 3, Term 1 2026

Year 10 Geography: Our Year 10 Geography students created a ‘Beach in a Box’ to deepen their understanding of natural coastlines as part of their Environmental Change and Management unit. The hands-on project strengthened collaboration and critical thinking as students explored how coastal environments are shaped and protected.

Artist in Residence: We were delighted to introduce Ian Daniell to our Artist in Residence program, with students across a range of year groups exploring the ocean life of Western Australia through creative workshops.

Year 5 Perth Observatory Incursion: Santa Maria College was proud to be the first school visited by the Perth Observatory, with Year 5 students engaging in a range of hands on activities about the solar system and planets.

Years 5 – 8 Novelty Races: Dillon’s Years 5, 6, 7 and 8 students practised novelty races at the pool in preparation for the upcoming swimming carnival. The session was filled with teamwork, resilience and plenty of school spirit.

Year 7 Mass: The Year 7 cohort gathered for their first Mass of the year, marking an important milestone in their secondary journey. Coming together in faith, students were reminded of the value of Justice that shapes life at Santa Maria College.

Year 5 Reflection Day: Our Year 5 students participated in a meaningful Reflection Day incursion, engaging in a range of activities including icebreaker games, music, prayer, and a stained-glass window art activity.
