Welcome Back Di

It’s a sign of a great school when staff leave and come back. We are very excited to welcome Dianne Valentine back into the fold this term.

We asked Di about her return to the College.

What have you been doing since leaving Santa Maria?

I left Santa Maria in 2016 and relocated to northern NSW. Over the four years I was away I was involved in a number of adventures. These included working in classrooms as a casual teacher, supervising pre-service teachers, afterschool homework club for a not-for-profit organisation, as well as exploring the aast coast.

What are you most excited about coming back?

I am most excited to be given the opportunity to contribute to a team of like-minded professionals, reconnect with staff and students and continue to learn and grow in my role as a teacher.

What is your new role?

I will be working within the Enrichment team to support students and teachers in classrooms

What do you hope to bring to your new role?

I am a firm believer in the idea, “Change is inevitable, growth is optional.” I hope my optimism and experience will allow my students to choose growth when confronted with learning challenges.
