Welcome to Our New Alumni
- February 24, 2020

Our newest members of the Santa Maria College Old Girls’ Association were welcomed by our president Gemma Varone (1990) at breakfast in the first week back at school in February. It was wonderful to see so many young and confident women returning to the College excited to see each other and to reconnect.

Most of them managed to find their old spots in the Year 12 alfresco area and they enjoyed a breakfast and an informative talk by Michelle Di Lello (Finucane 1989). Michelle is a development officer from Murdoch University. Michelle’s top tip was to take advantage of all the services available at the universities, enjoy your time there and be involved.

Our new members were also joined by their Dean, Rosa Speranza, Principal, Jen Oaten and other staff. It was lovely to see the connection and fondness between the girls and the staff. We hope this continues with their connection with the College in the future.

By the laughter and smiles on the day, it seems that all the graduates of 2019 are living life to the full. We wish them all success and happiness in their future endeavours.
