This term we welcome a number of new staff to the College.
Before starting at Santa Maria, I was teaching Science and Humanities at a school named Court Grammar, near Serpentine. For a few years prior to this, I was teaching Science and Humanities at Corpus Christi College. I am a full-time Science teacher, with a background in Marine Biology and Coastal Planning & Management.
I am relieving Charmaine Samuels in Science who is on long service leave this term. Prior to this role, I established the Lotterywest Biodiscovery Centre which is located in the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research in Nedlands. I commenced that role in 2012 but chose to put family first when my mum became unwell two years ago. Now I’m back in the classroom which I love!
Before Santa, I was in Finance at Saint Brigid’s College. I am now working in Finance again at Santa Maria.
I am a Boarding House Supervisor in Ursula House. Before coming to Santa Maria, I was working for Disney on their cruise line as a youth activities counsellor and character performer. Before that, I was at Scitech as a science presenter in their state-wide outreach department.
I am working at Santa Maria College as a library technician on Fridays during Term 3, as well as some Thursdays. I also work Monday to Wednesday at Melville Senior High School as a library officer.
