What’s Cooking?

It’s after school what shall we do?

My tummy’s rumbling how about you?

Something savoury, something sweet,

Let’s make ourselves a delicious treat.

Add the flour, add the milk,

Mix it til it’s smooth as silk.

Bake it til it’s golden brown,

It’s hard to wait til it cools down.

Measure and cut into slices or squares,

So all my friends have equal shares.

Weigh and mix, chill or bake,

It really is a piece of cake!
