Boarding Community Mass
Please save the date for Sunday 28 March when we will be having a Community Mass in the Chapel at 5.00 pm. All boarders are expected to be at this Mass and we invite all Boarding community members to join us at this Mass.
Clothing
Boarders are reminded that they are not to wear their pyjamas outside their Houses.
Uber Eats & Food Deliveries
Boarders have been asked to read page 21 of the 2021 Boarding Handbook for details on food deliveries for each Year group, to familiarise themselves with the process and rules.
Upcoming Rec Activities
Please see details in the Boarding Parent Facebook group for the upcoming recreation activities for each Year group.
Preparation for the Sacraments
A message from Andrea Dopson for any girls who wish to take part.
Many students from rural and remote areas of our state are not able to access the Sacraments during their time in primary school. Over many years I have facilitated a Sacramental program for Boarding students offering them support and providing opportunities for faith development and reception of the Sacraments.
The classes will be conducted after hours at the College and lessons for each Sacrament generally run weekly for three or four weeks. At the conclusion of the preparation for each of the Sacraments, there will be an appropriate celebration to mark the occasion. Parents and family will, of course, be invited to share such occasions.
Sacraments are offered on the following basis:
- If your daughter has not yet been baptised into the Catholic Church, she is invited to receive the Sacrament of Baptism
- If your daughter has been baptised into the Catholic Church, she is invited to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation (Confession) and Eucharist (Communion)
- If your daughter has received the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist, she is invited to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. This Sacrament is celebrated outside the College at St Benedict’s Parish in Ardross on Saturday 28 August at 2.00 pm. Enrolments for this Sacrament close shortly.
Please email me at [email protected] with your interest and I will set up times and classes for the girls.
I look forward to hearing from interested parents in the next few weeks.
