Women In Aviation Day
- October 24, 2019

Iu2019ve always had an interest in aviation, so jumped at the chance to attend the Girls in Aviation Day, along with Year 11 students Laknavi Katuwawala & Shriya Neelankavil. The day, held on Saturday 19 October, was held at Jandakot Airport.
We spent the day in small groups visiting stalls, learning about different jobs involved in aviation. We looked at jobs such as engineers, flight attendants, pilots, graphic designers, painters and many more. At the end of the day, we were free to go and talk to anyone who ran the stalls if we were interested in finding out more.
I really enjoyed the day as I have always had an interest in aviation and it really helped me to gain more of an understanding of the different jobs available. It also allowed me to talk to people in the industry and get a better idea of what the jobs were like. It was great to be able to spend the day with other girls who had similar interests to me. Overall it was a great day. Thank you to Mrs Hughes for providing the opportunity.
