Year 10 Boarders Enjoy River Cruise Social
This past weekend, our Year 10 boarders had the opportunity to join other Perth boarding schools for a river cruise that will surely be etched in their memories for years to come. It was a night of laughter, music, and the joy of reconnecting with old friends, creating bonds that will last a lifetime.
As the boat set sail, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement. Emma, one of our Year 10 students, captured the essence of the evening perfectly: “Throughout the night, we all got to catch up with mates that we hadn’t seen in years. The mini hamburgers and fish and chips were delicious. There was a DJ in the corner playing great music that everyone was dancing to.” The lively tunes kept everyone on their feet, dancing from the moment the cruise started until it was time to return to the dock.
But the fun didn’t end there. As the boat reached the jetty, the energy was still high. Karen MacDonald, Boarding Supervisor, noted, “Even as we docked, they were dancing up the gangplank to the jetty.” The night was more than just a social event—it was a celebration of friendship, connection, and the unique spirit of our boarders.
Anais, another Year 10 student, summed up the experience beautifully: “We all loved getting dressed up and taking photos, and onboard the boat, the DJ played upbeat music, and we danced and partied all night long. It was an amazing way to connect with others from other schools and create lasting memories with each other.” The river cruise was a highlight of the term, reminding us all of the joy that comes from being part of such a vibrant and supportive community.
These moments of connection and celebration are what make our boarding experience truly special. Events like the river cruise offer our students a chance to bond with their peers, build lasting friendships, and create memories that will stay with them long after their school days are over.
The Year 10 River Cruise Social was a chance for our boarders to connect, celebrate, and create memories with their boarding sisters. We are proud of our students for embracing these experiences with such enthusiasm and joy.
