Year 12s Win Volleyball Grand Final

Over the past 12 weeks, the girls in the Volleyball Melbourne Tour have competed in the Volleyball WA Junior League Competition held at a various venues. This event sees students from all over Western Australia competing for their school.

Santa Maria College was well represented with 36 students competing in four teams in their respective age groups. Santa White finished third overall just missing out on the finals. The Santa 12s team finished first overall in their division, placing them into the finals held at Aquinas on Friday 11 August. The girls went on to win their grand final against Mandurah. With Jessica Brown taking out the Most Valuable Player award in the Year 11/12 division.

Three of the teams now have two weeks left to prepare for the WA Schools Cup Competition, which will be held at various venues from Friday 25 August to Sunday 27 August. The Melbourne Tour teams will continue to train and have practice matches leading up to tour early December.
