Challenging Themselves: Year 6 Camp

Ninety-seven very excited Year 6 girls descended upon Kerem Adventure Camp in Bullsbrook last week. For some of the girls, it was their first time away from home without mum or dad.

It was an action-packed three days with the girls taking part in a number of activities including:

  • high and low ropes course
  • rock climbing
  • archery
  • team building games
  • orienteering

Below are some highlights from the girls.

I challenged myself and completed the high ropes activity, I also reached all five buttons on the rock-climbing wall and I enjoyed working with people that I don’t usually work with. The camp was a fun learning experience and you got to do things that you never get to do normally. There was always excitement about what was up ahead next. Emily Johnstone

Camp becomes more enjoyable when you take risks and push yourself out of your comfort zone. Our favourite activity was the high ropes as it forced us out of the comfort zone and into the risk zone. You never know what can happen when you take risks! Siobhan Hanbidge, Ruby Cattalini & Sienna Day Jones

An amazing experience, and I’m so glad I gave it my all. The best thing was, without a doubt, the high ropes. Better to do everything and regret nothing than to do nothing and regret everything! Stephanie Kerr

An amazing opportunity to get to know people better!  Samara Edwards

If you’re nervous don’t sweat it, only sweat when you’re trying hard.   Scarlett Ceniviva

In the following video, the girls talk about how they overcome their fears and the best things about camp.
