In addition to vocational training, students have the opportunity to gain Workplace Learning experience through work placement programs. These programs provide students with hands-on experience in their chosen profession and help to prepare them for the workforce. Students usually complete three blocks of two week of work placement in May and October of Year 11 and May of Year 12. All hours are counted toward Endorsed Programs for School Curriculum & Standards Authority Graduation.
If you are a Santa Maria College student interested in enrolling in a VET qualification, speak to Mrs Martin, Head of Careers and VET for more information on the qualifications available and the enrolment process.
