Celebrating 70 Years of Devotion with the Sisters of Mercy
We were honoured to host a celebration as four Sisters of Mercy celebrated their Platinum Jubilees. Sister Mollie Wright, Sister Joan Eileen Carroll, Sister Greta Collins and Sister Flo O’Sullivan were recognised for their 70 years of service. Emeritus Archbishop Barry J Hickey celebrated a Eucharist of Thanksgiving followed by a very special luncheon.
The Jubilarians renewed their vows with joy, rededicating their lives to God and God’s people, in the spirit of poverty, chastity, obedience and mercy. They were also presented with their own unique candle and received an official papal blessing from Pope Francis.
As a College, we extend our congratulations and well wishes to these extraordinary women who continue to live out the vision of our foundress, Catherine McAuley.
