Transperth Services

OUR MISSION IS TO ASSIST STUDENTS TO BECOME SELF-DIRECTED AND INDEPENDENT LEARNERS, INTRINSICALLY MOTIVATED, WITH A DEEP LOVE OF LEARNING THAT WILL EMPOWER THEM TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR OWN LEARNING NOW AND IN THEIR FUTURE LIVES.

Transperth operates school specials (500, 783) and the 158 from Perth & Fremantle with a deviation to Santa Maria College. Information about Transperth services is also available on their website.

Bus connections from several train stations connect to the Booragoon Bus Station (the 500 and 783 both stop there). The 158 from Perth in the morning also stops at Canning Bridge Transfer Station. The afternoon service does not stop there.

How to pay for Transperth Tickets

Santa Maria College students are issued with a SmartRider Card. This card must be shown to the bus driver as they board the bus, whether it is a school special or not. These permits are issued free through the College during the first few weeks of Term 1.

To add value to your SmartRider for the first time, you will need to do so in person by:

• Visiting a Transperth Sales Outlet or Information Centre
• Using an Add Value Machine
• Paying in person (cash only) on board a bus
• After this, an auto-top up can be set up here
