Achievers’ Club Celebrations
This week, 150 girls from Years 8-12 gathered for Achievers’ Club lunches to celebrate and acknowledge their outstanding efforts in Semester 2, 2019.
The lunches celebrate students who embody our Mercy value of Excellence and have maintained outstanding academic standards. They are held at the completion of each semester.
At the lunches, Academic Captain, Olivia von Bertouch, encouraged students to work together, support each other in their studies. She also reminded them to continue to strive for improvement and balance in their lives.
The Value of Student Voice – Jennifer Oaten
“At Santa Maria College, we are not only given the opportunity, but we are encouraged by our teachers and each other to voice our opinions, concerns and ideas—to continue moving forward as a school and as a community. Student voice is integral for growth, and allows for us, as students to have an active role in shaping our education.”
