From The Head of Boarding: Week 2, Term 4, 2020
RENOVATIONS
The College is excited to announce that the renovations of Sylvester and Ursula House will be taking place over the summer break. This will mean that some of the girls from these houses will need to move to Catherine House for a few weeks at the end of this term once the Year 12s have finished their ATAR exams. Such as exciting time!
BOARDING MOTTO
The new Boarding Councillors met late last term to talk about plans, dreams and aspirations for their leadership in 2020/2021. We are working hard to create a motto for Boarding, working carefully and slowly in preparing the best motto we can for this great Boarding community. Once complete, we will be launching this motto at the beginning of 2021.
YEAR 12 MOCK EXAMS
A small group of our Year 12s spent time in Boarding during the second week of the holidays studying and completing their exams. The Boarding Supervisors spent evenings with the girls, supporting them in their study and helping them prepare delicious meals. Thank you to Mel for her supervision of the girls during the day. A huge thank you to the catering team who provided an excess of delicious and nutritious food, meals and snacks for the girls while they were in for exams.
MERCY DAY BOARDERS’ STALL
Thank you to all of our Boarding parents who contributed to the Mercy Day Boarding stall. Your contribution meant that the College was able to raise a great amount of money for Mercy charities. Thank you!

The average person’s attention span when using a digital device has plummeted from around two and a half minutes back in 2004 to just 47 seconds on average today – a dramatic 66% decrease over the past two decades.
