You may have noticed the new purple bins around Santa Maria. This is an initiative of our Eco Sisters co-curricular service group, working alongside Greenbatch and their Schools Recycling Program.
The Young Vinnies Winter reflection evening, held on Friday 11 August, which recognises homelessness week, was an incredible night. Students from Years 10 -12 gathered to learn about what it means to be homeless and the realities of homelessness.
Outreach Day marks the launch of our annual winter appeal, where the College focuses on fundraising and raising awareness of disadvantaged people in our local community, who are doing it tough during the cold winter months.
The Mother Daughter Evening, held on Wednesday, was a great time for mothers and daughters to come together for some quiet, reflective time together.
Jane Armstrong (Class of 1993) and her partner Sim run a non-profit group called Homelessness We Care – WA. Every Tuesday night you can find them on Wellington Street feeding the homeless and providing many necessary services. Jane and Sim have been actively running the group for approximately two years.
Our Junior Sprouts have been hard at work making the campus a little greener.
