Year 8: The Domino Challenge

Today during Pastoral Care Time today, the McDonald Building was filled with laughter and shrieks of joy as the Year 8s embarked on a mass domino challenge. The girls worked in Homerooms to build the most effective patterns they could in 30 minutes. This activity required teamwork, humour, perseverance and creative thinking skills.

Many dominoes toppled before their time, quickly to be rebuilt and repurposed. Just as in  life, we often fall over and have to get back up again!

The girls are to be commended on their success with this activity.

The average person’s attention span when using a digital device has plummeted from around two and a half minutes back in 2004 to just 47 seconds on average today – a dramatic 66% decrease over the past two decades.
