Outdoor Education Expedition
Four Year 10 Outdoor Education classes are having an awesome time this week on their Outdoor Education Expedition. The girls are based around Karridale, camping in remote locations, and they are loving the great outdoors.
This hiking adventure has given the girls the opportunity to abseil and prusik out of Brides Cave and hike the Cape to Cape and other trails.
As part of their assessment tasks, the girls have been working hard in class preparing a logbook, journal and an expedition planning assignment including:
- Equipment lists
- Meal plans/menus
- Shopping lists
- Weather forecasts
- Risk management/emergency planning documents
- Goal setting outlines
- Leadership goals
- Environmental awareness research
- Route plans
The girls are having a great time and demonstrating excellent resilience, team work and courage.
