Preparing Young Women for the Future: Connecting Learning To Life

At Santa Maria College, our mission is to provide an education that not only prepares our girls for the workforce and life beyond school but also equips them to make a positive difference in society. We recognise the importance of making learning relevant to their lives today and adaptable to their future lives in an ever-changing world.

To achieve this, we developed a progressive framework called Connecting Learning to Life in 2019. This innovative approach aims to equip our students for the future by providing opportunities to develop essential attributes across various areas. We are committed to nurturing these attributes through our teaching and learning, co-curricular activities, and emPOWER projects.

The Value of Student Voice – Jennifer Oaten

“At Santa Maria College, we are not only given the opportunity, but we are encouraged by our teachers and each other to voice our opinions, concerns and ideas—to continue moving forward as a school and as a community. Student voice is integral for growth, and allows for us, as students to have an active role in shaping our education.”
