Students Create Anti Theft Device

A group of Senior students are participating in a project in the Techno Lounge to help create an anti-theft device for chargers. These devices already exist but only for the American market, there isn’t anything available in Australia to fit the Australian GPO (General Purpose outlet).

Students will be designing this device with the intent for it to be printed using the 3D printer and used within the College grounds. We are starting off small with a device that will protect iPad and iPhone chargers. The students are creating preliminary sketches of their ideas before they dive into the 3D design using Tinkercad.

This project gives the students the opportunity to learn a new skill and apply their creativity in a different way. This is a very exciting project and it will be very interesting to see what ideas these students will come up with.
