Thank you Mrs Oaten

It’s not often we have the opportunity to publicly thank our leaders for the amazing job they do. At Santa Maria College, we are very privileged to be under the leadership of Jennifer Oaten. She is a remarkable leader, with empathy and compassion for all in our community.

Our Years 5 & 6 students and staff acknowledged Jennifer today, on Primary Principals’ Day. The students recorded messages and wrote cards for her, which were presented in a surprise assembly.

Year 6 leaders Griffin O’Brien and Sophia Valentine read the following to Jennifer at the assembly.

“We are so happy to be at our great school of Santa Maria.

“As today is Australian Primary Principals’ Day. We wanted to acknowledge the wonderful work you do for us to help make Santa Maria a great school of learning and achievement, and especially a place of friendship, kindness and acceptance.

“This year, because of all the changes we have had to go through, you have calmly supported us, the students, the teachers and families to get through the online learning, the return to school, the adjusted way of doing things and all with a supportive smile on your face.”
