Year 8 Science: Learning About Forensics
The Year 8 ScienceQuest students are currently studying Forensic Science.
Forensic Science is the art of using scientific inquiry skills to collect and analyse evidence found at crime scenes.
In this lesson, students had to learn and apply the ‘Newtons Rate of Cooling’ equation to identify the time of death of our Santa Maria victim!
This activity is one of many skills the students have learnt such as fingerprint analysis, hair and fibre analysis, blood splatter analysis, ballistics and forensic toxicology.
