Meet Our Talented Visual Arts Team

With each member of the Visual Arts team a practising artist themselves, it is no wonder that many of our students are selected to exhibit at the Year 12 Perspectives each year.

Visual Arts Tour Takes In All the Sights

Three cities, two countries, fifteen Museums, five interactive workshops and nine guided tours proved to be some of the cultural highlights that the students experienced on the Visual Art Tour.

Hello Petal!

Congratulations to Year 9 students Vienne Seneque, Olivia Palmiero and Lucy Kilroe who received a Highly Commended in the 2018 Perth Craft Show for their textiles project based on a theme of ‘Hello Petal’ inspired by designers Viktor and Rolfe.  

Famous Artists Come to Santa Maria!

Art Day was celebrated this week, with loads of colour and fun art activities! Year 12 Art students ran the events and did so in style – dressed up as their favourite artist or art top

Visual Art Staff Workshop with Michelle Pike

Fashion Illustrator Michelle Pike delivered a dynamic four hour workshop to Visual Art staff who will be working with students in Term 2 to design and create garments, headpieces and accessories for the Fashion Parade in Term 4.

Art Students Recognised

Santa Maria students received a number of awards last night at the Atwell Youth Art Awards and Year 12 student, Ava Gamblin has been accepted into the 25under25 Art Award and exhibition, run by the City of Fremantle. The exhibition opens on Friday 14 July from 6.00 pm in the Moores Building Contemporary Art Gallery in Fremantle.
